Episode 1 of the new TRIGUN: STAMPEDE anime has landed, and we’re sure it’s going to divide fans. It’s a re-imagining of TRIGUN, but not entirely new. We fall in the category of ‘new’ fan as we never saw the original, so we’re completely loving this episode. The animation is PERFECT, and we say that without hyperbole. The characters are charming, the camera angles and action are dynamic, and the over the top exaggeration and movement are insane. To seamlessly blend the style of Japanese animation into a 3D form is something that has been tried so many times, only to come up short. This series is KILLING IT so far, so we’ll see what episode 2 brings.
