Blumhouse is helming Universal’s Invisible Man!

Per Hollywood Reporter: “Universal and Blumhouse are developing an Invisible Man movie, with Insidious and Saw mastermind Leigh Whannell attached to direct, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed. Jason Blum and Whannell will produce.”

This is great news for fans of Universal’s classic monsters, since the properties have been in limbo after the disappointing “Mummy’ with Tom Cruise. Apparently, the Unviersal “monster” lineup will no longer be sharing a connected film universe, rather letting film makers pursue a more individual format. With Blumhouse’s involvment, we can only see these characters we know and love getting the treatment they are long overdue for. If this goes well, perhaps we’ll finally get a new ‘Wolf-man’ too? Exciting days ahead for horror fans!
