GEEK’D Review’s ‘THE OUTSIDER’ By Stephen King!

Nightmare in Oklahoma, Stephen King style…

Stephen King is known for his books of horror, and he did not hold back in his new book ‘The Outsider’. An unspeakable crime happens to an 11-year-old boy; Oklahoma detectives find all of the clues point to the most unlikely suspect. With many twists and turns that only Stephen King can offer his readers, his new book will have you asking who or what did it until the very end.

We open with a Detective Anderson, interviewing witnesses of who the young boy was last seen with, being completely shocked when they all point to an outstanding member of there community. Acting fast they arrest him with not looking any further then the witnesses who could swear they saw the suspect; Detective Anderson’s and the DA’s case seems iron clad.

However, later in the book as the Detective keeps digging to find the truth, he meets up with something that he should have left alone. Fighting against the supernatural that only Stephen King can create, the Detective will fight his way to come out on top, and to put the right man behind bars.

Overall it was a well worded piece of literature. It had a strong plot, with not many plot twists that you could see coming. It is a good read. However, some of the characterization was stereotypical on how some see Oklahomans. Over looking some of King’s characterizations, all in all it is a well put together book, that can be anyone’s Saturday night read. As long as they don’t mind keeping a light on.
