April is cram packed with all kinds of geeky goodness, and I think the most far reaching piece of pop culture to land will be this week’s Super Mario Bros. Movie. This is a multi-generational IP, with an icon that rivals even Mickey Mouse in popularity. If they’ve done this right, we’re looking at a new branch of pop culture crossover that will keep creating fans for the next decade. The big question that everyone seems to be asking is, “How is Chris Pratt as Mario?”. Looks like some early reviews are in, and they’re looking good! Of course, Jack Black as Bowser is inspired casting, but we have to say that we’ll need to hear CP on screen for ourselves before we have 100% buy in. Either way, are you gonna go see it this week? Keep your eyes open for special give aways at the theaters, I have a feeling there’ll be some great collectibles that will be released alongside the movie…
