This beloved franchise has seen so many variants that it’s hard to keep up with them. This new trailer, however, stands apart in style and energy. Won’t call it a reboot. Is it going back to it’s roots? How much is Hollywood reimagining? Visually, we’re pumped! The animation design is likely to be compared to ‘SpiderVerse”, but they’ve really amped up the kinetic line art and layers, going beyond a ‘comic book’ look. A big plus for the green teens actually sounding like TEENS! Voice talent is spot on, and when Donatello gets a SAI in his leg, his scream alone is worth the ticket price. This year is going to be a banner year for geekdom and animation, so we’re adding this to the MUST WATCH LIST. Movie premieres August, 2023
