Since releasing the new trailer featuring worlds like Arandelle from Frozen, and San Fransokyo from Big Hero 6, Square Enix reveals even more about the upcoming game, Kingdom Hearts III.
Square Enix debuted 11 screenshots of Twilight Town cutscenes, as well as three full character renders of KH2’s returning cast, Hayden, Pence, and Olette. We’ve caught a couple of glimpses of these characters from previous trailers, but now we can view their full character models in their high-res glory.
Unfortunately, we still do not have a clear idea of how KH2’s Roxas will fit into this plot, even with frequent mentions of him in trailers. The tweet releasing the Twilight Town screenshots included a cryptic message saying, “Sora meets Hayner, Pence and Olette in Twilight Town, but will they be able to help Roxas in #KingdomHearts III?”
While we may not know any more about how Roxas revolves around KH3, we do know that since releasing the Twilight Town screenshots, Square Enix later debuted a massive 18 screenshots of the Hercules-based world, Olympus. We can view various cutscenes showcasing classic KH2 baddies, as well as the new supposed titan bosses, Lythos, Hydros, Pyros, and Stratos. This Hercules-based world is supposedly going to feature a lot of gameplay in the actual world of Olympus, as opposed to KH2, where you explored the underground caverns of Hades.
Kingdom Hearts 3 is set to release for PS4 and Xbox One on January 19th, 2019.
