James Wan to Produce TRAIN TO BUSAN Remake!

Korean Zombie Train Movie Coming from the Mind Behind The Conjuring.

James Wan is slated to produce a remake of the underrated Korean zombie movie Train to Busan and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Collider has a source claiming that New Line Cinema is in final negotiations to close the deal.

Per Collider:

“Modern day horror world-builder James Wan will produce a remake of the Korean zombie flick Train to Busan with The Nun writer Gary Dauberman providing the script. Deadline reports that a bidding war is a-ragin’ right now over the rights to the remake, with New Line, Universal, Paramount, Lionsgate and Screen Gems all getting in on the action.”

Wan is responsible of course for The Conjuring catalog of films, of which all written by Dauberman. Both creatives are extremely busy at the moment, with Dauberman up to his armpits in scary clown shenanigans writing the IT franchise and Wan working his magic over at DC with Aquaman. But the bidding war for the Train to Busan property is just further proof that the zombie genre is far from dead, and with film makers of this calibre attached then its going to be around for quite some time.

What do you think?
